Cleaning and Care

In order to keep your Halo free of any unwanted taste or odour, we strongly encourage regular cleaning. We recommend rinsing your Halo Bottle after each use as well as regular cleaning of your bottle and lid in hot soapy water (please note Halo Bottles are not dishwasher safe).

After using your Halo Bottle for liquids such as fizzy drinks, milk, fruit juices or alcohol a deeper clean is best and we recommend using water and bicarbonate of soda. Do not use stringent cleaners as this may damage the bottle.

After cleaning and when not in use, we recommend storing your bottle with the lid off to allow the inside to dry and keep your Halo fresh.

No - Halo Bottles are not suitable for dishwashers. They can cause damage to the vacuum layer, resulting in the Halo Bottle's insulation properties to become ineffective. Dishwashers can also damage the bottle's outer paint.

For more info on cleaning see "How should I clean my Halo Bottle" on this page.

Please do not fill your Halo right to top, always leave a small gap. Overfilling or vigorous shaking may cause damage to the lid seal, especially with hot liquids. Always ensure the lid is straightly aligned before tightening.

Our 'Sugar-Coated' anti-chip paint has a chip-resistant powder coating, so it more durable than standard paints. However, it is not 100% chip-proof and contact with sharp objects may cause scratches.

To ensure your Halo Bottle's paint stays looking fresh and blemish-free, we recommend keeping your Halo Bottle separated from potentially abrasive items such as keys in a bag, which may cause damage to the paint over time.

No - we don't recommend this. As Halo Bottles are vacuum-insulated, the temperature of the fridge or freezer will not have a cooling effect on the liquid inside the bottle. They can also potentially cause damage to Halo Bottle's vacuum seal and insulation.

For keeping drinks optimally cold, we recommend filling your Halo with ice cubes and adding very cold (pre-refrigerated) liquids for the best results.
